About Us

Weston Music Society promotes six chamber music concerts a year by professional musicians in our small friendly parish church.   At least two concerts are given by classical guitarists, often of international stature.   Other concerts are deliberately varied and include baroque, instrumental groups and singers.   Audiences of about 100 are seated 'in the round' and close to the performers.   Tickets include programme and interval drink.

Weston Music Society was established in 2000 (to read more about the history of the society click here).   It is now a Registered Charity, No 1154759.   It is run by a committee elected annually by its members (see Membership).   The current committee members are:

President: Felicity Lowe.   Chairman: Malcolm Lucas.   Secretary: Susan Lucas.    Treasurer: Richard Clements.   Committee:  Paul Drakes (Membership Secretary).   Co-opted members: Michael Attwood, Helen Hanbury, Hilary Bailey and Michael McConnell.

We do not plan too far ahead. Instead we rely on personal recommendations and artist availability.   We aim always for high quality and musical variety.   To keep in touch watch this website, Facebook or Twitter or ask to join our emailing list (westonconcerts@gmail.com).
