About Us

Weston Music Society promotes four or five chamber music concerts a year by professional musicians in our small friendly parish church.   At least two concerts are given by classical guitarists, often of international stature.   Other concerts are deliberately varied and include baroque, string groups and singers.   Audiences of about 100 are seated 'in the round' with good sight lines.   Tickets include programme and interval drink.

Weston Music Society was established in 2000.   It is now a Registered Charity, No 1154759.   It is run by a committee elected annually by its members (see Membership).   The current committee members are:

Chairman: Felicity Lowe   Secretary: Simon Armitage    Treasurer: Richard Clements.   Committee: Malcolm Lucas, Susan Lucas, Paul Drakes (Membership Secretary).   Co-opted members: Margaret Armitage, Michael Attwood, Maureen Martin.

We do not plan far ahead. Instead we rely on personal recommendations and artist availability.   We proceed in fits and starts, but aiming always for high quality and musical variety.   To keep in touch watch this website or ask to join our emailing list (westonconcerts@gmail.com).

We are grateful for financial support from the Arts Council for North Hertfordshire.
