Sean Shibe

Born in Edinburgh in 1992, Sean has a Scottish and Japanese heritage. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was the first guitarist admitted to the BBC New generation Artists Scheme. He won first prize and gold medal at the Royal Over-Seas League's competition in 2011. Like Amy Harman he was selected for representation by YCAT in 2015. Sean is the featured artist on the cover CD of BBC Music Magazine for February 2016.

Sean is offering an all-English programme - two pieces by Dowland and three written for Julian Bream - Malcolm Arnold's 'Fantasy', Five Bagatelles by Walton and Britten's 'Nocturnal after John Dowland'.
