The Temple Ensemble

"Formed in 2013 by clarinettist Poppy Beddoe, the Temple Ensemble is a flexible chamber ensemble now based at the Royal Academy of Music. The ensemble is formed of eight core players, string quartet, double bass, bassoon, french horn and clarinet, which can be used in a variety of combinations depending on repertoire. The ensemble perform music that spans the breadth of the classical genre and the group are passionate about bringing it to today's audiences. All at t he beginning of their careers, the performers' music-making marries a budding enthusiasm with an emphasis on refinement creating live performances that are accomplished and expressive."

The concert will begin with their arrangement of Richard Strauss's 'Till Eulenspiegel', followed Mozart's Clarinet Quintet. The second half will be Schubert's great Octet in F major D.803.
