Trio Goya

Trio Goya bring together a collective fascination and a wealth of experience to their readings of works from the core of the Classical period. Using period instruments a beautiful fortepiano by Paul McNulty after Anton Walter 1795 Vienna is the centrepiece of their music.

British American Maggie Cole is an internationally renowned fortepianist who plays also with the Nash Ensemble, Britten Sinfonia and the Sarasa Chamber Ensemble. She "combines marvellous technique with superb musical instinct and good taste" (Boston Globe). She is joined by virtuosic violinist Kati Debretzeni and acclaimed cellist Sebastian Comberti, both principals of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and other ensembles. All three have recorded extensively both as Goya and with other groups.

"Trio Goya achieve a perfect instrumental balance in sensitive performances" (Gramophone magazine).
