Zoran Dukič is one of the most distinguished classical guitarists of our time. He graduated from the Music Academy of Zagreb and completed his studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. His performances throughout the five continents have included recitals at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow), Palau de la Musica (Barcelona), and the Concertgebouw (Holland).

In his ‘tour de force’ competition years Zoran won an astonishing number of competitions, being the only guitarist to have won both ‘Andres Segovia’ competitions in Granada and Palma de Mallorca. He also won competitions dedicated to ‘Fernando Sor’, 'Manuel Ponce’, ‘Manuel de Falla’, and ‘Francisco Tarrega’. In the greatest Spanish guitar competition in Madrid, patronised by the Royal Family, he was awarded first prize and also the special prize for the best interpretation of Spanish music; the first time ever awarded to a non-Spaniard.

As a pedagogue, Zoran has educated generations of young classical guitarists. For 25 years now he has taught one of the most successful classes in Europe at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague. He now includes the Royal Welsh College in Cardiff. Zoran is also an active chamber musician and a founding member of the European Guitar Quartet, the Croatian Guitar Quartet and plays in duo with Aniello Desiderio. He has recorded compact discs for labels in Germany, Spain, Belgium, Brazil and Canada – and even at Weston!
